Are you struggling with the language you need to teach your students for Trinity’s ISE II Public Figures Past and Present conversation area? Here is a vocabulary worksheet to help you. It contains lots of examples of language they will need to talk about this topic. It has vocabulary and useful phrases related to types of public figures, different ways of referring to famous people, the disadvantages of fame and so on.

You can download this worksheet and use it with your students in class when your students need to learn ISE II Public Figures vocabulary for the conversation area and for the reading and writing exam. It should stimulate your students to think about different public figures from their context, how to describe them, and how to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of being in the public eye. However, remember that examples of language are just a starting point; make sure your students also personalise the phrases with their own thoughts.
